Zeppelin Systems welcomes ORLEN OIL as new Tire Alliance member

The Zeppelin Sustainable Tire Alliance connects partners across the tire value chain to develop innovative technologies for sustainable tire production and recycling of end-of-life tires. By combining expertise in mechanical recycling – such as sorting, water jetting, devulcanization, and reclaiming –with raw-material recycling technologies including pyrolysis and purification, the alliance accelerates the shift toward a circular tire economy.

ORLEN OIL, part of the ORLEN Group, produces automotive and industrial lubricants, greases, base oils, and rubber process oils. Operating in 81 countries across four continents, the company meets the latest technological and environmental standards and holds approvals from leading OEMs, including major tire manufacturers. By joining the alliance, ORLEN OIL contributes market expertise and technological know-how to support sustainable solutions for the tire sector.

“The transformation towards a circular tire industry requires strong partnerships along the entire value chain. With ORLEN OIL, we gain a partner whose expertise in lubricant technologies and rubber process oils directly supports our customers’ ability to industrialize their production concepts. As a long-term partner, we support our customers meet both current market demands of integrated, flexible and high efficient systems and tomorrow’s sustainability expectations,” says Sascha Stiller, Head of SBU Plant Engineering & CEO Zeppelin Systems GmbH.

The ORLEN Group pursues the sustainability strategy, aiming to increase the share of renewable and circular feedstocks to 10 % by 2035. Investments in research and development focus on securing feedstocks with higher proportions of biogenic and renewable components, including oils derived from tire and plastic pyrolysis.

Within the alliance, ORLEN OIL contributes expertise in lubricant solutions and rubber process oils while gaining insights into using recycled materials – particularly end-of-life tires – in petrochemical processes. This collaboration supports circular processes across the tire value chain and enables the creation of new products based on advanced recycling technologies.

“Through our partnership in the Zeppelin Sustainable Tire Alliance, we combine our expertise in lubricants and rubber process oils with innovative recycling approaches. By integrating recycled and renewable feedstocks into our products, we support the circular economy and advance the technological progress of the tire industry,” adds Magdalena Lipska-Knitter, Development & Technology Director, ORLEN OIL.

By expanding the network with partners such as ORLEN OIL, Zeppelin Systems strengthens its role as an integrated solutions provider and ecosystem orchestrator for sustainable tire production and recycling. The collaboration highlights the importance of cross-industry partnerships in enabling innovative and scalable solutions for a more sustainable tire industry.
