Numerous experts will gather at the international trade fair for the plastics industry to present processing machines and plants for plastics. An excellent reason for Zeppelin Systems to appear at Compounding World Expo 2023 from June 14 to 15, 2023: as a plant engineering company with many years of experience in the plastics sector and innovative solutions for the deodorization of plastic recyclates, the company has just what the industry needs. Compounding World Expo is aimed at plastics processing companies and service providers in the field of bulk material and process technology. The event opens its doors to numerous international visitors every two years. Zeppelin Systems is set to impress trade fair visitors with customized solutions for compounding plants. The company will also showcase itself as a competence center for bulk material systems and process technology for the compound production of engineering plastics, polyolefin compounds, and masterbatch compounds as well as for the processing of PVC. Thanks to Magdalena KITZMANN and the MTI Mischtechnik mixing solutions now complementing its portfolio following the company’s acquisition, Zeppelin Systems offers the right solution for every challenge customers may face in the field of plastics. For several years, Zeppelin Systems has been working on new plastics recycling technologies to make recycling production processes more efficient. This development work is now paying off, as under a new EU packaging directive, around 30 percent recycled content is to be used in the production of new packaging by 2030.
This presents a challenge for the industry, as plastic recyclates may have an inherently unpleasant smell, which rules out their use for higher-value products. Zeppelin Systems has a solution for this. The company is developing deodorization plants that degas recyclates by means of a physical thermal cleaning process, thereby removing unpleasant odors.
