Zeppelin Systems is presenting at Battery Show 2026
09. - 11. June 2026 | Friedrichshafen
Zeppelin Systems will showcase solutions for key process steps in the industrial production of battery masses at the Battery Show Europe 2026 in Stuttgart – from reliable material handling to precise dosing systems and powerful mixing technology. The company will also present the latest developments for flexible calendering and a new product that can be used to test mixing processes on an experimental scale under controlled conditions.

As an international plant engineering expert, Zeppelin Systems develops tailor-made solutions for the handling of high-quality raw materials – from storage to conveying and dosing to mixing. The company combines many years of experience and technological know-how to design production processes that are efficient, secure and scalable.
“The demands on battery mass production are continuously increasing, particularly in terms of efficiency, scalability, and process stability. With our solutions, we support customers in reliably scaling their production to an industrial level and future-proofing their operations,” explains Sascha Stiller, CEO of Zeppelin Systems GmbH. “In doing so, we combine proven technologies with targeted innovations across the entire value chain.”
Raw material handling as the basis for stable processes
A key success factor in the production of battery masses is the safe and controlled handling of raw materials. Zeppelin Systems offers solutions that enable a wide range of containers to be emptied quickly while also ensuring product-friendly conveying. Modern containment concepts and end-to-end batch management ensure safety and traceability.
Mixing technology for demanding battery materials
Mixing is one of the crucial process steps in the production of battery masses. Zeppelin Systems relies on powerful high-intensity mixers, which enable uniform distribution and targeted preparation of the raw materials. The systems are particularly suitable for dry and semi-dry mixing applications. The material properties can be optimized by specifically influencing the particle structure. At the same time, robust designs ensure a long service life – even with demanding input materials.
New perspectives in the microenvironment
Zeppelin Systems is showcasing new possibilities for process development at the Battery Show Europe with a new product for mixing processes on a testing scale. The solution makes it possible to test sensitive materials under precisely controlled conditions – without the need for a large dry room. Zeppelin Systems thus opens up additional perspectives for development and testing processes in compact, controlled production environments.
Greater flexibility in calendering
Zeppelin Systems relies on its feeding and dosing unit (FDU) for the continuous production of battery electrodes in the dry coating process. It ensures fully automated and consistent material feeding and is available for different throughputs from lab to production scale.
A new feature is a continuously adjustable chute width, which enables flexible adaptation to different film widths. This makes the FDU even more versatile in existing production environments while remaining compatible with common calender configurations. The specially designed component geometry also reduces the risk of material bridges and supports robust, continuous operation. Supplementary extraction concepts help to minimize dust emissions.
Test centers for customized process optimization
Zeppelin Systems operates several test centers to further develop and validate production processes. At these centers, processes can be analyzed and optimized on a laboratory and production scale. In Kassel, the focus is on mixing technology, while in Friedrichshafen, research concentrates on material behavior and dosing processes. Customers benefit from customized test scenarios and in-depth analysis of product properties and process parameters.
International projects and continuous development
Zeppelin Systems is involved in research and development projects to optimize the production of battery masses. Numerous international customer projects underline the company’s implementation competence. Plants with a total output of over 150 gigawatt hours have already been installed worldwide – including in Europe, Asia and the USA.
The trade show will take place June 9 to 11, 2026. Visit Zeppelin Systems in Hall 1 at Stand J66.
